D Terry is walking home from school and sees Lisa. “Hey, Lisa!” Terry calls and runs after her. “I’m really excited about the play, and our scenery is so good … ,” says Lisa. “Scenery! That’s for children,” says Terry. “I’m an actor now. A real actor with a real part in a real play.” “What?” She cannot believe her ears. “Sorry, I must go. You can’t have a part. You’re only in Year 7 now,” Lisa tells him. “Oh, look. There’s Mrs Carter.” “Mrs Carter …Mrs Carter!” shouts Terry. “Oh, hello. I’m thinking about the play. An actor is ill and … well, maybe you can all help,” Mrs Carter says. “Can you come to my classroom after school? Then I can tell you about the part. I must go to the library now.
