It’s part of the Thames Festi- val. The Festival is a week long. There’s a fair and music and inter- esting food stalls. You can see plays, too. The Lantern Procession is on the first day. All the pupils in years 7 and 8 buy their lanterns and wear funny clothes. Then they go to London and walk from London to Greenwich with their lanterns. Isn’t that cool? Write to me this weekend, Love, Sarah There’s a Lantern Procession in 3 Your turn (p. 99/ex. 5) Is there a festival where you live? Do people wear special clothes and walk through the streets?
