twenty-one 21 e Rob and Sam stopped behind a tree. “Hey, Sam. That’s Lisa’s bike!” “No, it isn’t,” said Sam. “Lisa’s bike had a black saddle. And it didn’t have a basket.” “But it had a big scratch just like that. I scratched it, remember?” Just then the two men saw Sam and Rob. “Oi! What are you kids looking at? Get out of here!” Sam and Rob were very scared. They didn’t want to make the men angry. “Let’s go!” said Rob. The boys walked past the van. The van doors closed and the van drove past Sam and Rob. Sam quickly got out an exercise book and a pen. “X337 JKX,” read Rob. Sam wrote it down. “We’ve got them!” F The police came to assembly the next week. “Well done, boys. We found the white van and there were a lot of bikes in it. You really helped us.” Lisa was over the moon! “Rob, now I’m really glad that you scratched my bike.” h ä 2 Another ending “Hey, Sam, that’s Lisa’s bike!” (see line 44) What happened next?
