Similar robots do dangerous jobs on Earth. • Virtual reality (VR) equipment helps astronauts to ‘practice’ being in space. Some computer games use this technology. • Scientists put devices into astronauts’ bodies to check that the astronauts are OK. Doctors use the same technology in pacemakers for people with heart problems. • Modern farmers use satellites with GPS (global positioning system) technology to check that the rows in their fields are straight. Scientists also use GPS for weather reports. Nur zu Prüfzwecken – Eigentum des Verlags öbv
