Make Your Way 6, Schulbuch mit Audio-CD und CD-ROM
Just/Way over 50% of blacks and whites think that England is a racist society compared with 41% of Asians, and only roughly a half/quarter/third of everyone interviewed agreed that Britain opens its arms to new immigrants. When it came to the question of colour, about one in five/three whites said that you had to be white to be British in comparison to figures of over/ around 15% for blacks and Asians. But perhaps the most worrying answers were to questions about the impact of ethnic populations on British society. Only/Exactly one in four whites believe that these populations have had a positive effect while slightly over/nearly 60% believe that they haven’t. However, approximately/exactly half of blacks and just over/under half of Asians feel their communities have been beneficial. Britain is not quite the cultural playground it likes to think it is.
