The dreams The interpretations The magazine “Prediction” has a page in every issue in which dreams are described and interpreted. Read through these two examples. 12 LOST CHILD e dream A lost child was crying, and although there were dozens of people about, no one seemed to notice or bother about this poor little thing. e meaning This child is the dreamer’s childhood locked up inside her, and no one knows she is there. The only person to recognise and rescue her is the dreamer, who should try to do this immediately. THE BRIDGE e dream Something is chasing me, and eventually I come to a bridge which I cross to the half-way point. I feel secure here but dare not move. e meaning Being chased shows the dreamer will not face up to a problem or a fear. The bridge, a link between two situations, can only be a temporary haven, so a decision must be made soon as to which is the lesser of the two evils. Here are six more such dreams. Match them with the appropriate interpretations. (There are two interpretations you won’t use.) Then give each one a suitable title, as in the two examples above. 1 I am always trying to get home from being lost in a maze of streets. But just as I think I am on the right road – I am lost again. 2 My bed was in a sort of market place with lots of people milling around me. It did not seem unusual, but at the same time I did not like it. 3 I was alone and running down a hill as fast as I could, but I was not running away from anything or anyone in particular. 4 While I was driving my car, a voice told me to slow down, but before I could, the car went into a nasty skid. No one was hurt, but I was shocked. 5 I was in an unfamiliar place with my friends. They were all beautifully made up, but I realised I had forgotten to put on my eye shadow, lipstick and powder. 6 A man persuaded me to get into his car against my better judgement. It was a horrific experience, and ended with me being totally lost. A The voice was the wise woman within, warning the dreamer to slow down in life. If she does not, she will end up in some sort of trouble. B This scene reveals that the dreamer has virtually no privacy in her life, although she may not realise it. Change, through selfassertion, is strongly suggested. C Superficial values are being examined in this dream, the message being that the real person is not always apparent. The dreamer should remain true to herself and become much more confident. D This symbol may suggest that the dreamer has to deal with a lot of stress and pressure from the outside. It might also reflect the dreamer’s (in)ability to do two things at the same time. 116 Nur zu Prüfzwecken – Eigentum des Verlags öbv
