There has been a lot of criticism 1 of social network sites in the past, including issues 2 of privacy, bullying, and not being able to delete your account. Another problem is child safety. Therefore, there are rules that you should follow when you are on a social network site. • Get your parents’ permission 3 before you join a social network site. • Never share personal information like your personal address, phone number or email address. • All your privacy settings should be set to “only my friends” or “no one”. Check these pages to make sure nothing has changed. • Don’t post silly pictures of yourself or of your friends. • Never interact or agree to meet somebody you don’t know on a social network site. • Only people who are your friends in real life should be your online friends. • Never say that you will give a party on a social network site. • Only visit profiles of people you know.
