She goes to the shopping centre in town with her friend Helen. “I want to buy a really cool top,” she says. “Do you like this pink T-shirt?” says Helen. “It has a cool silver print on it. And it’s just the right colour for you.” – “No, I want to wear something really unusual,’’ says Sarah. “Hey, what about this one!” – “Wow!” says Helen. “No one’s got a T-shirt like that. Have you got enough money, it’s quite expensive?” – “I know, but it’s so cool. I think I have.” So Sarah spends all her pocket money and buys the cool T-shirt. Meanwhile, Clara and her mother are in another shop. “Do you like this nice T-shirt, Clara?” says her mother. “Yellow is a lovely colour, and it’s a very good price.” – “Aw Mum, I want to wear something really unusual for my farewell party.” Clara picks up a T-shirt with black and white zebra stripes. “Wow! What about this one, Mum! No one has a T-shirt like this!” – “It’s certainly unusual,” says her 5 10 15 20 25 30 mother. “How much does it cost? Oh no! It’s too expensive, love!” – “But no one has a T-shirt like this. Please, Mum, it’s my farewell party.” Mum does not really like the black and white zebra T-shirt, but in the end she buys it for Clara. It’s the day of Clara’s party. The doorbell rings and Clara’s friends come in. “Wow! Cool T-shirt, Clara!” they all say. They give her little farewell presents; she gets a CD from Alan, a box of chocolates from Trisha, and a nice pen from Tony. But where are Sarah and Helen? Before they can call them on their mobiles, the doorbell rings again. Clara runs to the door and opens it. Oh no, it can’t be true. Sarah has got the same zebra T-shirt. Clara smiles and welcomes them in. But she wants to cry. “You’ve both got the same cool T-shirt!” the others all say.
