In a blog, you provide or respond to information and motivate (like-minded) readers to take some sort of action using formal, neutral or personal language, depending on the topic and your readership. You may also address your readers directly and invite comments. You write a blog post (blog entry) to arouse interest, share experiences, express concern, persuade or convince readers, or offer your opinion on a particular topic. This could be of general interest, such as leisure, lifestyle, music, sports, literature and travelling, or be more specific such as day-to-day politics.
