You have been working as an intern for a month. Today you have to talk to a group of students aged 17–19 at an international high school that is doing a project on global inequality. Their economics teacher organised this project and requested a speaker from your department, and your superiors decided that you would be the right person for this job. Individual Long Turn (4–5 minutes): Give a presentation to the students in which you ■■ describe the relationship between poverty and inequality ■■ comment on the global distribution of wealth (see attachment) ■■ explain the European Commission’s approach to reduce inequality. Interaction (8–10 minutes): You are back at your office. Your boss has just asked you to get together with another intern, who has been commissioned to write a text on inequality for a magazine and is very interested in your input and ideas.
